MonticelliTHE FARM AND ITS HISTORY

Montelujano, heart of the homonym area situated
in the territory of Gubbio, is the place which geologist and explorer, Count Guido Bonarelli (Ancona 1871 - Rome 1951), at the beginning of XX century, chose as his dwelling when coming back from his travels.
Since then, Montelujano became the residence of his
family and the center of his agrarian company.

a view from MonticelliNATURAL OASIS

The estate is a real natural oasis situated on the hills in front of the city of Gubbio. It includes lands and rural houses in a splendid and panoramic position.

CULTIVATIONS, VEGETATION AND FAUNA

The farm is cultivated prevalently with cereals, sunflowers, olive-trees and vine yards. The remaining area is wooded with plants of turkey oak, oak and manna ash. In the glades you can find the sorb, the juniper and the broom, that from May to July spots with yellow the green of the lawns and of the woods.

In the estate it is frequent to come across with a rich and wild fauna: hares, pheasants, porcupines, curls, weasels, faijnas, squirrels, barn owls, owls, titmouses, thrushes, magpies and hidden in the woods you can spot wild boars, roe-deers and foxes.
